Rachel Johnston is a Salt Lake City based Interior Designer, offering full service custom design services from initial concept through project completion.  Rachel grew up in Dallas, Texas and always knew that was where she wanted to start her career after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Design, Housing and Merchandising and a Minor in Marketing. Rachel has always had a natural sense of style and eye for design, which has allowed her to work on a variety of projects encompassing elements from different styles to curate designs unique to every client. 

Upon graduation, she moved to Dallas to pursue an opportunity with a luxury residential design firm designing model homes for one of the largest high end residential builders in Texas. In 2017, she decided to begin building her client base as a Senior Interior Designer at IBB Design, and has been designing beautiful homes and spaces in Dallas ever since. In 2024 she expanded to Salt Lake City where she is accepting new projects as well. Rachel has years of experience in multiple facets of luxury interior design, including conceptual designs, space planning, procurement, specifying FF&E, furnishings, and project management working directly with builders ensuring quality execution on every project.

As the lead Interior Designer and project manager for all of her projects, Rachel curates timeless designs, while refining architectural designs to ensure cohesivity, and working with builders to ensure a the design is seamlessly executed. With her experience and comprehensive knowledge in every phase of design projects, whether that be a renovation or new construction, she is well equipped to successfully ensure the client experience is above and beyond their expectations. She is able to visualize the end result of a project and develop the necessary steps in order to make that vision become a reality. She genuinely enjoys getting to know each client and understanding their lifestyle and aesthetic in order to curate a design unique to them.
